Terms of Service

By downloading or using Boardroom AI, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. Who We Are

Boardroom AI is an iOS application developed by MJ (the "Developer"). For any questions regarding these terms, contact us at: privacy@boardroomai.app

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 17 years old to use Boardroom AI. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are under 17, you are not permitted to use the app.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must not share your account with others or allow others to access the app through your account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that we believe are being used fraudulently.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

Boardroom AI offers auto-renewable subscriptions processed through Apple. By subscribing, you agree to the following:

• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• Your Apple ID account will be charged at confirmation of purchase and at the start of each renewal period.
• You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time via your iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
• No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods, except where required by applicable law.
• Free trials, where offered, will convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless cancelled beforehand.

All payments are handled by Apple and are subject to Apple's own terms and conditions.

5. Free Tier

Users without an active subscription are entitled to a limited number of free messages as stated in the app. This allowance is per device and per account and may not be transferred or reset by creating new accounts.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Boardroom AI to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the app
• Use the app to generate content that is harmful, abusive, defamatory, or illegal
• Circumvent any subscription restrictions or access controls
• Interfere with the operation of the app or its underlying infrastructure
• Impersonate any person or entity

We reserve the right to terminate your access if you violate any of the above.

7. AI-Generated Content

The mentor responses in Boardroom AI are generated by artificial intelligence and are provided for informational and motivational purposes only. They do not constitute professional business, legal, financial, or investment advice.

You should not rely solely on AI-generated content to make important business decisions. Always consult qualified professionals where appropriate. The Developer is not responsible for any decisions made based on AI responses within the app.

8. Intellectual Property

All content within Boardroom AI, including but not limited to the app design, branding, text, graphics, and AI persona names, is the property of the Developer and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the app without prior written permission.

9. Third-Party Services

Boardroom AI integrates with third-party services including Supabase, Anthropic, RevenueCat, and Apple. Your use of these services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices or content of third-party services.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

Boardroom AI is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the app at any time without notice.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the app, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the app shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time and delete your account through the in-app account deletion feature. We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if you breach these terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will remain in effect.

13. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
