Privacy Policy – Boardroom AI

    Your privacy matters. Boardroom AI is built for founders who want honest, private mentorship. We collect only what we need to make the app work and never sell your data.
  

1. Who We Are

2. What Data We Collect

We collect the following data to provide and improve the app:

Account information: Your name and email address (collected during sign up via email or Apple Sign In)
Profile data: Your industry, startup stage, challenges, and goals (entered during onboarding)
Conversation data: Messages exchanged with AI mentor personas are stored to provide conversation history
Usage data: Session counts, wins logged, skills, and Founder IQ score
Purchase data: Subscription status managed through RevenueCat and Apple. We do not store your payment details.
Device data: Push notification token (only if you grant permission)

3. How We Use Your Data

To provide personalised AI mentor responses based on your context
To save and restore your conversation history
To track your progress, sessions, wins, and skill development
To send push notifications about your streak and weekly digest (only with your permission)
To process and verify your subscription status
To improve the app over time

4. AI Conversations

Your messages are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate mentor responses. Anthropic processes your messages in accordance with their own privacy policy. We do not use your conversations to train AI models. Your conversation history is stored in our database (Supabase) and is accessible only to you.

Do not share sensitive personal information such as passwords, financial account details, or government ID numbers in your conversations.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Supabase – database and authentication (EU/US data storage)
Anthropic – AI language model powering mentor responses
RevenueCat – subscription and purchase management
Apple – Sign In with Apple, App Store payments, push notifications
Expo / EAS – app build and update delivery

Each of these services has their own privacy policy governing their use of data.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your profile, conversations, and progress data will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

7. Your Rights (GDPR & UK GDPR)

If you are based in the UK or European Economic Area, you have the following rights:

Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you
Correction: Request corrections to inaccurate data
Deletion: Request deletion of your account and all associated data
Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format
Objection: Object to certain uses of your data

8. Children's Privacy

Boardroom AI is intended for users aged 17 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal data, we will delete it immediately.

9. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), row-level security on our database, and secure authentication. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
